Contract About the Role We are seeking an experienced Microsoft SharePoint Migration Specialist to assist in the discovery, design, migration, and configuration of modern SharePoint Online sites. This is a hands-on role focused on building out and improving SharePoint capabilities while working closely with internal teams and stakeholders. You’ll be instrumental in migrating legacy content, designing new modern site architecture, setting proper permissions, and training users. If you’re passionate about user experience, SharePoint best practices, and delivering clean, functional solutions, we want to hear from you! Scope of the Project The selected consultant will support the agency with: Creating new SharePoint sites Migrating existing content to SharePoint Online Configuring permissions and access Training and knowledge transfer to internal staff Collaborating with the SharePoint support team to ensure the environment meets agency needs Daily Responsibilities Lead discovery and envisioning sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements Design modern SharePoint site architecture aligned with best practices Build and configure SharePoint Online sites , document libraries, and lists Set and manage site permissions with proper governance and access control Provide training and documentation to staff for site usage and management Support content migration from legacy systems (SharePoint on-prem or other platforms) to SharePoint Online Work closely with the internal SharePoint team to align site functionality with the broader digital workplace vision Required Skills (Ranked by Importance) Extensive Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online experience Strong experience building and customizing SharePoint sites (modern experience preferred) In-depth knowledge of SharePoint permissions and access controls Understanding of how SharePoint integrates with Microsoft Teams and OneDrive Experience with knowledge transfer and staff training Familiarity with “out-of-the-box” SharePoint functionality and workflows Experience with content migration strategies and tools Preferred Skills Experience in government or public sector SharePoint environments Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) is a plus Strong communication and documentation skills
