Job Summary
The RedSail Technologies Advantage Solutions Business Unit has the primary mission to create incremental value streams for RedSail through the development and activation of Clinical, Financial, and Operational Programs that leverage our uniquely integrated technology platforms and our reach within targeted market segments. The clinical Snowflake AWS Data Engineer will play a critical role in building and maintaining modern data pipelines and infrastructure, with an emphasis on Snowflake on AWS to enable scalable, reliable, and secure access to clinical and operational data.
Key Duties
Specific responsibilities include:
Designing and managing data infrastructure using Snowflake on AWS, ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity across environments.
Building and optimizing data pipelines and workflows using tool such as Apache Airflow for scheduling and orchestration.
Collecting and storing data through manual and automated processes, including establishing secure connections to both static and dynamic enterprise data sources.
Improving efficiency and quality of data infrastructure through a cycle of continuous quality improvement and automation.
Developing and updating technical documentation, including data dictionaries, schema references, and pipeline documentation.
Organizing and exporting data required by external business associates, and participating in programmatic development of related solutions.
Automating data exports and reporting required by contractual obligations or for internal descriptive analytics.
Extracting, transforming, and aggregating data for business intelligence systems, including individual pharmacy dashboards.
Preparing structured and unstructured datasets to support machine learning use cases for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and translate them into scalable engineering solutions.
Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Required Work Experience/Skills
3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, particularly in a cloud-native AWS environment.
Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Git, SVN).
Experience working with PHI/PII and secure data handling.
Proficiency in Python or R for data processing and scripting.
Ability to transform complex, multi-source data into actionable datasets.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Work Experience/Skills
Master’s Degree in a related field.
Experience with healthcare data and pharmacy transaction systems.
Advanced experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Redshift, or Glue.
Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, C#).
Experience with data de-identification platforms, especially Datavant.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements and best practices.

Demonstrates strong ethical values in data handling and decision-making.
Working Conditions
Position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs.
