This role is key in interpreting business needs, optimizing operational frameworks, and designing scalable, effective IT solutions that drive productivity and agility. The IT Business Architect serves as a bridge between technical solutions and business goals, ensuring continuous improvement and long-term value creation across the organization. Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Architecture & Planning Analyze current and future business capabilities, processes, and digital systems to identify improvement opportunities. Lead the design and implementation of digital architecture strategies that align with enterprise goals. Develop and maintain business architecture artifacts such as capability models, value streams, and system maps. Facilitate ongoing alignment between strategic business goals and IT deliverables. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define business cases, and translate them into technical solutions. Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Digital Solution Architects, IT Infrastructure, and Service Desk) to ensure alignment and integration of digital systems. Support governance activities by aligning business initiatives with enterprise-wide strategy and planning cycles. Project & Process Integration Evaluate and structure IT and digital projects, ensuring minimal impact and maximum value across business areas. Support digital portfolio management including initiative prioritization, budget forecasting, and stakeholder reporting. Lead or assist in testing strategies and execution to validate functionality against business needs. Support & Continuous Improvement Act as a liaison between service management teams and technical support to drive resolution of issues and implement ongoing enhancements. Coach and mentor junior architects or analysts within the Business Architecture Center of Excellence. Contribute to global business initiatives, potentially requiring communication with Portuguese-speaking colleagues. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (preferred). Certifications such as PMI-BA, Business Analyst (BA), or Product Owner (PO) are a plus. Experience 2-4 years of experience with information systems, digital product lifecycle, and business process management. Experience leading medium-scale IT/digital projects (involving 1-2 business areas, $20K-$50K investment, up to 200 hours). Demonstrated success in digital portfolio management, initiative planning, and cross-functional team collaboration. Global communication experience, with Portuguese language proficiency considered a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Deep understanding of enterprise business architecture methodologies and tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment. Familiarity with business process modeling, digital transformation, and IT governance.
