Junior DevOps Engineer – REMOTE Job Description As a DevOps Engineer, you will modernize and automate our infrastructure management. The infrastructure consists of a variety of applications served via Windows/Linux servers administered within hosted and cloud environments. You will be responsible for introducing and maintaining the infrastructure as code repositories, implementing and monitoring the security of our operations, helping the development teams migrate applications to automated CI/CD pipelines, and helping set and maintain DevOps best practice standards across the organization. We are looking for someone who understands SDLC best practices, has a passion for automating drudgery, and loves learning new technologies and systems. The ideal candidate has experience migrating applications to a cloud provider, managing cloud-based infrastructure, and is passionate about DevOps. Responsibilities Modernize and automate infrastructure management. Administer Windows/Linux servers within hosted and cloud environments. Introduce and maintain infrastructure as code repositories. Implement and monitor the security of operations. Assist development teams in migrating applications to automated CI/CD pipelines. Set and maintain DevOps best practice standards across the organization. Essential Skills 1-5+ years of experience managing and operating critical infrastructure in a cloud-based environment. Experience with device and application monitoring tools such as Site24x7, New Relic, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, etc. Strong experience creating and maintaining pipelines within CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, AWS CodeDeploy, or BitBucket. Advanced knowledge of creating and maintaining containerized applications. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience migrating applications from dedicated environments to cloud-based providers. AWS certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer). Experience setting up and securely configuring web servers such as Apache, Nginx, and IIS. Work Environment 100% remote role working on new projects as well as a blend of legacy products. You will be part of a remote team that includes 3 engineers based in the United States.
