SUMMARY OF POSITION I3

Verticals (Education) is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Software Architect to lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performing systems using .NET technologies, relational and non-relational databases, and AWS serverless services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex architectural challenges, collaborating across cross-functional teams, and shaping the technical future of our platforms.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college required. 7+ Years experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Define and own the architecture for enterprise-grade applications using the Microsoft .NET stack. Design and optimize data models, database schemas, and data flows for OLTP systems. Architect AWS-based serverless solutions leveraging services like Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and others. Develop and maintain architectural documentation, standards, and best practices. Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams during all phases of the SDLC. Assess legacy platforms and create modernization plans to leverage serverless technologies in order to meet i3 Education’s scalability and growth projections. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable system designs. Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and frameworks to improve platform capabilities. Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and performance tuning exercises. Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

DESIRED SKILLS

Deep expertise in C#/.NET Core, Entity Framework, Web APIs, and Service-Oriented Architectures. Expertise in creating solutions using SOLID principles of API development. Strong background in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar RDBMS; understanding of NoSQL databases is a plus. Proven experience designing and deploying serverless architectures on AWS. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform), and DevOps practices. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.
