This infrastructure enables advisors to incorporate held-away 401(k) assets into holistic wealth management portfolios. Position Overview Future Capital is seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build and enhance the technology that powers our growing FinTech platform. You will contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions that support financial advisors, clients, partners, and internal teams. As our wealth business continues to expand, you will play a key role in delivering new features, improving system performance, and maintaining the reliability of our data-driven platform. Working closely with engineering leadership, product management, and cross-functional stakeholders, you’ll help translate business needs into high-quality software that drives real impact. Much of Future Capital’s business involves the secure exchange, transformation, and analysis of financial data. Experience with full-stack development, API integrations, cloud services, and modern DevOps practices will be valuable. Familiarity with financial services, data privacy, or compliance standards is a plus. This is an individual contributor role, based on-site in our Chattanooga, TN office. Candidates must be located within commuting distance. Remote work is not available for this position. Skills and Technologies The Full-Stack Software Engineer must have advanced skill and experience with Future Capital’s tech stack, including:
Cloud & Infrastructure:
Azure cloud services, GitHub Actions, and Docker.
Backend Development:
C# and Node.js; ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework Core.
Frontend Development:
Strong skills in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
Automation:
Selenium or Playwright.
Messaging & Integration:
RESTful APIs and basic understanding of message queues like RabbitMQ.
Data & Analytics:
Competence in working with MS SQL Server and interest in data tools like Tableau.
Third-Party Services:
Experience integrating with services such as Plaid, Stripe, Twilio, or HubSpot is a plus. Responsibilities Develop and maintain secure, scalable features across full stack: frontend, backend, data layers. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business needs. Participate in project planning, technical design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and team standards. Contribute to code reviews and team discussions to improve code quality and knowledge sharing. Assist in integrating third-party APIs and services, ensuring reliability and security. Support CI/CD workflows and participate improving system performance and observability. Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues (which may occasionally involve out-of-hours incident response), contributing to root cause analysis and long-term fixes. Stay current with relevant technologies and propose improvements to tools, processes, or architecture. Qualifications 5 – 7 years of experience in full-stack software development, ideally within a FinTech environment. Ability to build and maintain secure, scalable applications using modern development practices. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communicator and collaborator, comfortable working across teams. Familiarity with secure development practices and an understanding of data privacy and compliance considerations in regulated industries.
