Job Description

DevOps Engineer Knoxville, TN – Hybrid (3 days onsite/week) Full-Time | Permanent Role Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the Knoxville office. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have at least 2 years of professional DevOps Engineer experience to be considered for this position. Seeking a forward-thinking DevOps Engineer to join our team and assist in transforming our environment into a microservices-driven organization. Docker, Kubernetes Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps Support and evolve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Optimize cloud resource orchestration across AWS and Azure Enhance observability with New Relic and custom monitoring dashboards Embed CI/CD, monitoring, and security into development workflows Ensure availability and performance in a cloud-native, microservices-based architecture Automate tasks to streamline development, testing, and deployment Promote best practices for containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) Requirements 3+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles Proven experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes in production Experience in cloud-native environments (AWS and/or Azure) Familiarity with monitoring tools and practices (e.g., New Relic, CloudWatch, distributed tracing) Understanding of secure DevOps practices, IAM, and security integration Collaborative mindset with a focus on developer productivity Passionate about automation and continuous delivery Detail-oriented, proactive, and driven to deliver operational excellence Thrives in fast-paced, hybrid work settings
