Position Overview As a Software Developer, you’ll design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using NestJS and TypeScript, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You’ll work within a modern tech stack, including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL, and contribute to a microservices-based architecture that powers our platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building robust, scalable systems. This role is a hybrid role and will work in-person 2 or more days a week. We kindly ask that only candidates who are willing and able to work in-person at our Franklin, TN office apply for this position. Core Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs using NestJS, TypeScript. Collaborate with the team to write maintainable, extensible, and performance-minded code. Use modern software engineering practices, including continuous integration, unit testing, and automated deployments. Work within a Kubernetes-based microservices architecture, ensuring seamless integration with our custom API gateway. Collaborate with product teams to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. Participate in code reviews and contribute to process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of professional software development experience. Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js (v20+). Proven experience designing and developing backend APIs for web, mobile, and third-party integrations. Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Hands-on experience with NestJS for building scalable applications. Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Docker Compose for containerized deployments. Strong understanding of Agile software development processes. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal training and contribute to architectural decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with RabbitMQ for message brokering. Knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestration and deployment. Experience working in a microservices architecture.
