//disti.com/ to learn more. This is an on-site role in our Orlando office. Responsible for managing a portfolio of programs with various scopes, including the development and delivery of software products to clients, which includes acting as the overall technical manager and administrator for the contracts.

Key Areas of Responsibility :

Manages the activities of the program management department. Leads technical teams throughout the entire life cycle of software development. Leads efforts to plan, design, develop, test, and document software for new products, new features, customer demonstrations, and program development. Implements software in accordance with customer requirements and potential design constraints. Finds innovative ways of solving problems or taking pre-emptive action before a problem arises. Implements improved individual and team processes for project planning, development techniques, oversight, and correction that will enhance team performance and increase client satisfaction. Manages portfolio performance through various methodologies, including Earned Value Management (EVM), to meet corporate annual goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, technical management, related degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of program/project management experience. A Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. Experience with Department of Defense and/or Federal Government requirements and acquisition organizations. Experience leading an organization or department. Experience in developing new managers and leading process improvement in the organization. Experience in proposal development preferred. Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a substantial amount of time operating a computer terminal. Frequently communicates with clients, team members, etc. Domestic and International travel is required.
