Job Description:
Censys Technologies Corporation is looking for an organized and proactive Project Manager
- Software Engineering to lead the administrative and coordination efforts behind our software development projects.
This individual will serve as the backbone of project execution, supporting teams through planning, documentation, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced software environment and has a keen eye for detail, timelines, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate software project planning activities, timelines, and deliverables with engineering and product stakeholders. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including Statements of Work (SOWs), schedules, requirements trackers, and project status reports. Track and manage development milestones, backlog grooming, and sprint schedules to ensure delivery timelines are met. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, expectations, and progress. Support proposal development and product lifecycle documentation, including support for programmatic gate reviews (e.g., feature review, alpha/beta readiness, release reviews). Coordinate cross-functional meetings, prepare agendas, and take accurate meeting minutes and follow-ups. Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor coordination, especially when working with third-party development firms or contractors. Support documentation and compliance efforts for secure development, regulatory standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001), and change management practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in software project coordination or project management, ideally in an Agile/Scrum environment. Familiarity with software development workflows, version control systems (e.g., Git), and ticketing/project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, Trello). Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams. Proficient in project planning, documentation, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Workspace, Microsoft Project).
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Agile certification. Understanding of
SDLC, CI/CD
pipelines, and modern software development methodologies. Experience working with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and/or software deployed to edge devices or embedded systems. Exposure to secure software development and basic understanding of cybersecurity documentation standards.
Necessary Skills:
Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Attention to detail and ability to track many moving parts with accuracy. Adaptability to shifting priorities in a dynamic software development environment. Problem-solving mindset with a bias toward collaboration and execution.
