Core Mission
Lead a 30+ person engineering organization to accelerate customer value realization through personalized, AI-driven onboarding experiences that demonstrate Mailchimp s impact on business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Talent Development
Mentor 5-8 frontline managers (each leading 7-12 engineers) and senior technical leaders.
Define career paths and growth opportunities for high-performing ICs and managers.
Technical & Cultural Strategy
Establish engineering practices/tooling for high-velocity delivery of scalable, resilient systems.
Foster a culture where engineers “do the best work of their lives.”
Customer & Business Impact
Own success metrics for onboarding initiatives driving customer benefits (e.g., faster time-to-value) and business outcomes (e.g., retention).
Spearhead next-gen Automations & Campaign Management platforms.
Cross-Functional Execution
Partner closely with Product, Design, and Marketing leaders to prioritize innovation.
Navigate constraints (e.g., resources, timelines) with solution-oriented proposals.
Non-Negotiable Qualifications
Technical Depth
: 10+ years hands-on software development (high-scale systems, operational excellence).
Leadership Experience
: 5+ years managing managers + delivering customer-driven products (data/AI, full-stack).
Operational Rigor
: Proven track record in high-availability environments with bias for engineering excellence.
Collaborative Mindset
: Skilled in bridging Product/Design/Marketing to drive alignment.
Leadership Traits

Resilient in ambiguity; balances planning with bias for action.
