The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and deployment of our software applications. They will manage a team of application engineers, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of software developers, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product management, design, QA) to define project requirements and deliverables. Develop technical requirements, Functional Specifications and project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure milestones are met. Implement and enforce coding standards and development best practices. Conduct regular code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Manage software development processes and methodologies to ensure efficient workflow. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to drive innovation within the team. Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management. Ensure software projects adhere to compliance and security standards.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. Proven experience (5-7 years) as a Development Manager or similar role in software development. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Expertise in software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and project management tools. Hands-on experience with programming languages and technologies (SQL Server, Python, .Net, Java, C, C++, Linux, Docker/LXC/application virtualization, artificial intelligence/machine learning, optical character recognition, and natural language processing. Hands-on experience developing AI/ML Solutions. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven experience developing a high-performing, mission-focused professional team. US Citizenship required; Active secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
