Nummer 12742 The Deputy Program Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing the interdependencies between various project teams located across different countries (Romania, Germany, etc) and subcontractors for software development (Leidos). This person will promote a collaborative environment, ensure communication, and support the Senior Program Manager in strategic planning, customer interactions, and overall program governance. This role requires a proactive and experienced leader skillful at navigating multicultural environments and complex project landscapes.
Your tasks
Assist the Senior Program Manager in all aspects of program planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
Support the development and maintenance of program documentation, including schedules, risk registers, and progress reports.
Contribute to program governance, including preparation for steering committee meetings and program reviews.
Support the Senior Program Manager in managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the customer.
Deputize for the Senior Program Manager as required.
Assist in preparing and delivering presentations and communications to the customer and other stakeholders.
Ensure customer requirements and expectations are understood and effectively communicated to the program teams.
Identify, map, and actively manage cross-functional and cross-geographical program interdependencies to ensure alignment and mitigate risks.
Develop and implement strategies for effective interdependency resolution and communication across all project streams.
Monitor progress of dependent activities and escalate potential conflicts or delays to the Senior Program Manager.
Champion and facilitate strong collaboration and knowledge sharing among diverse, multicultural, and geographically dispersed teams.
Establish and maintain robust communication channels and protocols to ensure information flows efficiently across the program.
Organize and lead cross-functional meetings and workshops to drive alignment and problem-solving.
Proactively identify potential risks and issues, particularly those arising from interdependencies or cross-team activities.
Support the development and implementation of mitigation and contingency plans.
Track risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.

Your qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project or program management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects.
Significant experience working with geographically distributed teams and managing projects across multiple countries and continents.
Demonstrable experience in identifying and managing complex project interdependencies.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum). PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Experience in customer-facing roles and managing stakeholder expectations.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams in a matrix environment.
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
Proven ability to cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to think strategically.
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment. Resilience in managing pressure and setbacks.
High degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity, with experience in effectively managing cross-cultural communication and collaboration.
A proactive self-starter with a strong drive for results and a commitment to achieving program objectives.
General understanding of the technologies or business domains relevant to ATC is beneficial.
