Role Overview:
The Quality Assurance Engineer SME will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our software products. This position involves creating and automating software tests, performing comprehensive application testing, validating bugs, and isolating issues throughout the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will initiate and execute tests, analyze results, and report findings using the designated ticketing system. Additionally, the QA Engineer SME will manage configuration, change, and release processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and automate software test cases to ensure high-quality product releases.
Conduct thorough application testing to identify and validate bugs, and isolate issues.
Initiate, execute, and analyze tests, reporting results in the ticketing system.
Manage configuration, change, and release processes to maintain software integrity.
Depending on experience, create detailed test plans, lead a team of QA Engineers, and prepare summary reports for executive management.
Requirements:
Active Top Secret/SCI Eligibility Clearance.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance support.
Proficiency in automation testing and API testing.
Proven experience in creating and automating software tests.
Skilled in initiating and executing tests, and performing application testing.
Ability to validate bugs, isolate issues, and analyze test results.
Experience in configuration management, change management, and release management.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
