Responsibilities:

Develop and deploy a state-of-the-art ground operational system. comprising of ground development and integration responsibilities such as SUPERNOVAs, NOVAs, ground entry points (GEP), and associated ground networks
Perform requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of subsystem or system elements under supervision of the lead systems engineer
Perform technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for subsystems and system elements
Perform customer requirements analysis, develops system requirements and defines allocations to lower levels (elements and components)
Perform detailed technical analyses for a subsystem or system elements
Develop and evaluate systems, networks and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications
Research and analyze data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
Support the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
May provide leadership and/or direction to lower level employees
Contribute to the completion of major programs and projects
Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility
Identify, analyze and resolve system design weaknesses
Contact with Deputy Program Managers Engineering (DPME) and other professionals within the Engineering department and with project teams across the company

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or STEM and 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience
Satellite communications, Ground to Satellite communications, Ground operations, Missile Warning, Missile Tracking system integration, test, operations experience
DevSecOps experience with some of the following platform/tools: AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipeline development, Test automation
Familiar with Agile philosophies and processes
Consistent high performer delivering outstanding results
A succession candidate
Extensive ability to oversee multiple functions
