QA/Tester – Analyst Position Available In Monroe, Alabama

Job Description:

Major corporation located in the Franklin, TN, area has along-term (potential to become FTE) contract opportunity workingwith a team preparing the applications for a web-based rollout viaan updated “tool.” ?Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and proceduresused to verify programs function according to user requirements andestablished guidelines. ?Participate in initial and ongoing consultation with client tounderstand scope of project and changes. ?Plan, design and author effective tests (test cases/testscripts/conditions) using various methods of input. ?Perform specific tests, such as examining aspects from anend-user?s perspective. ?Effectively run tests (test cases/test scripts/test conditions)prepared by self and others. ?Actively use the software being tested, using every function andtool to determine such items as performance results, reliability,bugs and failures. ?Willingness and ability to gain a working knowledge of overalloperations and applicable guidelines. ?Adapt to new testing software that may be implemented. ?Write documentation to describe program evaluation, testing andcorrection. ?Work with diverse groups (QA group, developers, BAs, PM?s,vendors) and develop strong working relationships. ?Demonstrate strong written communication skills ? includingwriting clear step by step defect/bug reports. ?Demonstrate strong oral communication skills ? tactful,diplomatic, professional. ?Ability to examine, investigate and research solutions in aprofessional manner. ?Strong analytical skills – focusing on both systems and overallstructure. ?Ability to learn and work on a variety of computer systems. ?Ability to work in a team and independently. ?Manage work priorities under pressure, tight deadlines, andchanging priorities. Qualifications ?Several years testing and/or software development experience (useAgile). ?Excellent organization and communications skills. ?Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solvingskills. ?Basic insurance knowledge helpful. ?Associates degree in Computer Science, Business or Related Field,Bachelor?s degree preferred, or equivalent experience andtraining.
