Position Summary
The Specialist

  • Quality Control (Advanced Quality Improvement) will support departmental goals by coordinating, testing, and evaluating trial vehicles and parts with a focus on software development in an automotive manufacturing environment.

This position will drive improvements in infotainment, ADAS systems, and controller interaction, while also contributing to broader vehicle design enhancements through thorough issue investigations.
Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and track Engineering Orders (EOs) and Model Change testing activities across departments
  • Analyze vehicle system software interactions and recommend improvements for controller communication
  • Evaluate new technologies and vehicle systems at each stage of the New Model Development Process
  • Conduct trials, testing, and detailed issue investigations for advanced quality improvements
  • Support infotainment and ADAS-related software evaluation, including CAN Bus and INCA data analysis
  • Recommend and develop countermeasures to address identified issues
  • Participate in benchmarking competitor vehicles and integrate findings into internal improvement strategies
  • Collect and interpret test data related to software performance and system integration
  • Prepare and present technical evaluation reports and documentation
  • Use and maintain advanced diagnostic tools such as CAN BUS analyzers, INCA, and others
  • Attend interdepartmental and project-specific meetings
  • Comply with all company Business Management (BMS), Environmental (EMS), and Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Support additional functions as assigned
    Position Requirements
    Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (required)
    Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in quality control, software testing, or automotive systems (preferred)
    Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices
  • Understanding of controller communication, coding, and systems integration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with
C, C++, CAN

Bus, INCA, and other diagnostic tools
Additional Information

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and off-shifts as needed
  • Occasional domestic or international travel may be required
  • Availability for on-call duty or overtime in support of production and evaluation responsibilities
