Job Summary:

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for continuously improving the quality of the company’s product line by preventing, quickly detecting, and validating product and process defects, to deliver market and customer-driven business results. You will evaluate the test results, prepare change requests, and generate measures to assess the product quality. In this role, you will work with an integrated team of developers, product managers, product owners, and system analysts for test planning, test execution, and product validation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Report Bugs/Defects via JIRA tickets. All daily tasks and projects should be tracked using Tempo time tracking application in Jira. Update Jira tickets with detail testing evidence (Pass or Fail) and track till closure. Create/update/maintain test cases in Test Rail per requirements. Execute test cases out of Test Rail via Test Runs Create test plans in Test Rail Involved in Data validation, functional testing, negative testing, boundary value testing, compatibility testing, recovery testing, retesting, and regression testing. Do peer review of test cases created in test rail. Mentor knowledge transfer of features and products to QA team. Mentor onboarding of new hires to the QA team. Update and add test cases to existing Test Runs in Test Rail API test via Postman application Review and report log results in all lower environments (Dev (Elk tool) and NonProd (GCP)) Review sql and mongo databases to validate configurations and property values in all lower environments (Dev and NonProd) Report when testing is blocked. Communicate via Slack, Email, and Jira comments. Participate in daily scrum meeting, QA team meeting, feature/product planning and review, and retrospectives. Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities. Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs. Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements. Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions. Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts. Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Communicating with management to identify areas for improvement in work processes. Providing guidance to staff on best practices for quality control methods. Maintaining quality processes and procedures for future reference.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to read, write and speak Spanish Understanding of software testing standards and best practices Experience implementing and evaluating software quality metrics. Experience creating and implementing comprehensive software testing strategies in environments utilizing CI/CD Experience evaluating and implementing test automation frameworks (such as Selenium, Appium, Postman) and leading test automation teams. Experience with

UI, REST

API, and mobile test strategies and tooling Proficient with the entire SDLC and the role of QA within each stage Track record of successful product launches and subsequent iterations of existing products by utilizing software development practices such as continuous improvement and continuous delivery Familiarity with Lean methodology and principles Must have a working knowledge of test management and manual/automated testing tools for regression, cross browser, and functional testing. Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment; we operate in 2-week sprints. Must be able to work cross-functionally to identify gaps or missing elements across the test cycle, collaborate with User Experience and Customer Support to incorporate customer feedback into testing approaches, and provide insights on best practices to ensure that deadlines are executed. Must have knowledge of underlying technologies supporting the applications under test i.e., REST API’s, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, SQL, SFTP, microservices, and cloud architecture. Experience with automated testing tools is a big plus. Good understanding of Software Engineering concepts Demonstrate practical application of the Testing Concepts in day-to-day project activities. Demonstrate proficiency in creating Test Plan and Test Strategy documents. Identifies test issues, reporting risks and defining regression tests for current and future projects and logs these as best practices and learning points. Contributes to management reporting including appropriate test metrics on planning, defects and execution.

Education and Experience:

Associates degree or better in a related technical field from an accredited college. 3 – 5 Plus years of experience in testing manually: API-based, UI-based and DB testing. Understanding of software testing standards and best practices Experience implementing and evaluating software quality metrics. Experience with

API, and mobile test strategies and tooling Proficient with the entire SDLC and the role of QA within each stage Familiarity with Lean methodology and principles Agile work planning tools (JIRA or similar) Source-control change management software (GIT or similar) Test management software (TestRail or similar) Continuous integration tools (Jenkins or similar) 2+ years of experience in business/systems testing. Ability to showcase an understanding of general testing techniques such as functional, integration performance, and regression testing. Working knowledge of test management and automated testing tools SQL experience for creating, updating, and deleting data for the creation of test data Travel/Agency industry experience is a plus. Experience with Cucumber is a plus. Experience with Selenium WebDriver is a plus. Must have strong technical aptitude and analytic background needed to understand applications and data infrastructure.
