Position Summary We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Technician to join our growing team in Jacksonville, FL . The primary focus will be on hardware testing —verifying the functionality, reliability, and quality of our security systems and devices. Some software QA testing may also be involved, especially where hardware and software integration is critical. Key Responsibilities Conduct rigorous hardware testing for durability, functionality, and performance Document and track hardware defects and failures Perform end-to-end system testing including software interactions with hardware Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve issues Assist in the creation of QA test plans, test cases, and documentation Support software QA testing when needed (e.g., UI validation, bug reproduction) Ensure all systems meet compliance and safety standards Help maintain a clean, organized lab/testing environment Requirements Prior experience in hardware testing , electronics, or technical QA roles Basic knowledge of QA methodologies and tools Ability to follow test plans and think critically when identifying potential issues Familiarity with hardware/software integration concepts Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Ability to work on-site full-time in Jacksonville, FL Preferred Qualifications Experience in testing security systems , IoT devices , or embedded systems Basic scripting or automation experience is a plus Exposure to tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar QA management platforms Why Join Us Be part of a mission-driven company focused on saving lives Work with a talented and passionate team Competitive compensation and benefits Hands-on experience with cutting-edge security technology In order for us to fast-track your application, please go to athena-security.com.
