I am currently seeking a QA Tester to work in the Tallahasseearea with a great company. This would be a contract opportunitywith that offers a excellent salary.
Position Summary:
Under general direction, this position is responsible fordeveloping and executing functional test cases to ensure that thedelivered solution meets project requirements and handles data in apredictable, error-free fashion.
Essential Functions:
Develops and executes functional test scenarios and test utilizinguser stories contained within Agile Sprints. Testing Enterprise Level Reports generated from the Data Warehouse,via Cognos, for accuracy and completeness. Reviews project requirements to ensure requirements aretestable. ? Provides estimates on the amount of time needed to completetesting related tasks within a sprint. ? Facilitates test case review sessions with other Agile teammembers. ? Tracks test execution results within HP ALM/Quality Center. ? Utilize HP ALM for tracking defects found during testing.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
? Strong analytical skills to translate project requirements toappropriate test cases to ensure adequate test coverage andtraceability. ? Strong SQL Skills with the ability to create complex queries tovalidate the completeness and correctness of reports generated fromCitizen?s data warehouse. ?Experience testing in large data warehouse projects. ?Experience with enterprise reporting tools, e.g. Cognos, CrystalReports, etc. ?Experience tracking and resolving issues encountered intesting. ?Experience working as a part of an Agile Development team. ?Software test experience in developing test plans, test cases andcreating scripts. ?Testing experience in a large scale relational databaseenvironment. ? Strong verbal and written communication skills. ? Experience with HP ALM/Quality Center for test management.
