Job Overview:

As an Automated QA/Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of the software applications. You will work closely with the software developers to ensure that the products meet the highest quality standards. Your role will involve identifying and resolving issues, as well as continuously improving the testing processes and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
Automated Testing Development:

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).

Test Strategy & Execution:

Collaborate with development teams to understand software functionality and create effective test plans, cases, and automated scripts to cover various use cases and scenarios.

Bug Identification & Reporting:

Identify, document, and report software defects in a clear and organized manner using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, etc.).

Performance Testing:

Create and execute performance tests to ensure software scalability, speed, and responsiveness under varying conditions.

Test Data Management:

Manage test data and environments, ensuring they are prepared for automated testing.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to communicate testing progress and results, as well as identify potential improvements in the software development lifecycle.

Test Framework Maintenance:

Contribute to the design and improvement of test automation frameworks, making them more efficient, reusable, and adaptable.

Documentation:

Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for test cases, test scripts, and test results.

Qualifications:
Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in QA automation with a focus on automated testing.

Technical Skills:

Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar. Proficiency in programming languages is preferred (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.). Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Mocha). Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, etc.). Understanding of the software development lifecycle. Experience with testing methodologies and environments. Use of Jira for tracking and documenting software issues and working with development teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong collaboration skills within a small team environment spanning teams that work on both development and business. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with a passion for quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
