Find more information at www.spherea.com SPHEREA Support and Engineering site is in Lenexa, KS. The Mission SPHEREA is looking for a Test Engineer to join its Test Program Development team. The primary mission will be to develop and validate test programs running on ATEC Series (Spherea’s Automatic Test Equipment) to allow return to service testing of avionic systems including cockpit panels, radio systems, flight and engine controls. Travel will be required to customer sites about 5-10 times per year (30-45 days expected.) Responsibilities Develop, validate and maintain test programs and sequences: Design test solutions, including hardware interface and software Develop software libraries and test sequences Integrate and validate test solutions and hardware Document and trace test solution to specifications Support project management Provide regular and accurate progress reports Estimate the overall workload to finish the project and the sub-tasks Establish priority/planning with project manager Identify difficulties, risks and opportunities Requirements Previous experience in software / hardware development for test equipment (electronics, avionics, RF) Understand Avionics test requirements, specifications, schematic diagrams Electronic/RF measurements skills and tools: General purpose test instrumentation (Digital multimeter, Programmable function generator, Digital oscilloscope, …) RF instrumentation (RF power meter, synthesizer, spectrum analyzer, …) Industry standard communication busses and standards : Ethernet, TCP/IP and

LXI GPIB IEEE488.2 VXI RS232/422/485 I2C

Radio communication, transponder, TCAS Programming and automation languages: C/C++ Python ATLAS (ARINC 626/716) NI TestStand, CVI, and/or Labview Experience with computer operating systems including Windows and Linux. Technical problem-solving skills Good attitude and communication skills Bachelor’s degree or higher Desired Competencies File processing and data extraction (CSV, XML, text) Statistical analysis of results Data security standards (GPG, SSH, S/MIME, firewalls) Location The position is based in Lenexa, KS and is flexible: employee can work from home most days but must be able to regularly go to customer/subcontractor/partner facility. Other information Occasional domestic travels (3-5 times a year).
