Role:

Our client is seeking a seasoned Test Planning & Automation Lead to support a Cloud Data Modernization initiative. This role will lead the data validation and testing strategy for migrating an on-premises Enterprise Data Warehouse (SQL Server) to a modern cloud-based architecture using Azure Data Services and Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Data Validation Testing:

Ensure data consistency between on-premises SQL Server and the cloud environment.

Automation Strategy:

Identify and implement tools to automate data validation, minimizing manual processes.

Test Planning:

Develop comprehensive test plans covering all data warehouse components.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and validation.

Quality Assurance:

Define and uphold QA standards and best practices for data testing.

Reporting:

Deliver detailed reports on test results, data discrepancies, and remediation actions.

Process Improvement:

Continuously enhance testing frameworks and tools for efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications:

Experience:

5+ years in a Testing Lead role within Data Warehousing or Cloud Migration projects.

Testing Expertise:

Strong background in data validation methodologies and automation.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in SQL Server, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Self-hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR), Logic Apps, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage, and Snowflake.

Analytical Thinking:

Ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies effectively.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering results on time.
