Junior Test Engineer Location:
Alpharetta, GA – 30009 (5 Days onsite)
Full Time Permanent Job Summary:
As a Junior QA Test Engineer , you will support quality assurance efforts within Agile delivery teams for our Application Platform as a Service solution in the construction project management space. You’ll contribute to manual and automated testing across front-end, back-end, and end-to-end workflows. Working closely with senior QA engineers, developers, product owners, and offshore teams, you’ll help ensure high-quality software releases. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow in QA automation, testing strategies, and Agile practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and reviews Collaborate with QA leads to understand requirements and testing scope for assigned features Write and execute manual test cases for new features, bug fixes, and regression testing Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts under the guidance of senior QA engineers Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability issues Log, track, and verify defects in coordination with developers and product owners Help maintain accurate and detailed documentation of test results and test cases Communicate test outcomes and support acceptance testing with cross-functional teams Learn and apply quality assurance best practices and contribute to continuous process improvement Support release validation and perform smoke testing during deployments, occasionally after-hours
Preferred Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience in software QA or testing Familiarity with QA methodologies, tools, and processes Basic understanding of test automation concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JUnit, or similar) Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software Good communication and collaboration skills
Education & Professional Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field – or equivalent practical experience.
