Job Opportunity:

As a Quality Assurance Engineering Lead, you will be an integral part of the engineering team, responsible for ensuring that software products meet the highest quality standards before the release. This role includes creating comprehensive test strategies, planning, and organizing test activities, and executing both manual and automated tests. Lead and mentor the QA Analysts, coordinate with Software Engineers and Product Managers, and continuously work to improve QA processes and practices. Your technical expertise will be crucial in maintaining the reliability, performance, and functionality of our software products.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor globally distributed Onshore/Offshore Quality Assurance teams.
Develop and implement test strategies and QA best practice aligned with project goals and business requirements.
Design, maintain and review comprehensive test cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Set up and manage test environments, and test data, ensuring accuracy and repeatability.
Execute tests and oversee the test execution of the testing team.
Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to triage bugs and manage the bug backlog.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineers, Project Managers and Product Managers to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
Make “go” or “no-go” decisions using the available inputs from the cross-functional teams.
Use tools like Azure DevOps and Shortcut for test case management and defect tracking.
Monitor testing progress, track key metrics, and generate reports to effectively communicate project status.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in software testing to drive continuous learning and improvement within the team to optimize quality and efficiency.
Drive test automation initiatives and ensure balance between manual and Automated testing.
Collaborate with Engineering teams to integrate test automation into different stages of the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Over 10 years of experience in Software testing, including at least 2 years in a Lead role.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or another technical major, or equivalent experience
Proficient in at least one software language (e.g. Java, Python)
Familiar with software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
Solid understanding of cloud environments and DevOps practices
Proficient in Web and mobile application testing.
Strong attention to detail and ability to diagnose complex issues in application testing.
Proficient with Automation tools such as Katalon and Selenium.
Preferred experience with Node.js and JavaScript for scripting and extending automation capabilities.
Comfortable with Git, and Continuous Integration tools like CircleCI and Jenkins.
Proficient in extending automation framework and enhancing automation coverage.
Skilled in troubleshooting complex automation challenges across web and mobile platforms, including browser and device compatibility issues.
Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner or NeoLoad for assessing system scalability and reliability is nice to have.
Experience in security testing practices and tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite for identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities preferred.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for scalable infrastructure provisioning and management preferred.
Having experience with SQL and NoSQL is a plus.

The base salary range for this position in Boston is $115,000 to $150,000, along with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation for a candidate is determined by their relevant skills, location, and experience.
