Corporate Wellness Program Job Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Tester to support the Mississippi Department of Human Services’ (MDHS) SUCCESS Project—a large-scale system modernization initiative focused on transforming case management and eligibility systems for programs such as SNAP, TANF, Child Care, and Child Support Enforcement. The UAT Tester will work closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams to ensure that developed features meet business requirements and are production-ready. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public sector human services programs, be highly organized, and capable of supporting complex UAT efforts within an Agile (SAFe) delivery framework.

Responsibilities :

Develop and execute UAT test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and functional requirements Collaborate with business users and analysts to understand user workflows and ensure appropriate test coverage Document and manage test data needed for UAT execution, ensuring alignment with real-world use cases Record detailed test results, identify defects, and work with the development team to track resolution and retesting Coordinate and support UAT cycles, including scheduling, communication, defect triage, and sign-off processes Ensure that all UAT activities meet federal and state standards for system certification and compliance Provide input into Go/No-Go decisions based on UAT outcomes and readiness criteria Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives, to align testing with iterative development cycles

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years focused on UAT Experience with Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, Child Support, or other human services eligibility programs Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies, and experience working closely with business stakeholders during sprint-based development Strong understanding of test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail) Excellent attention to detail, with a strong ability to follow test protocols and document findings clearly Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred :

Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) Experience testing enterprise eligibility systems or case management platforms Familiarity with federal and state compliance standards related to human services technology Basic SQL or data validation skills to assist in backend testing and data integrity checks S2Tech is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
