Position Overview:

The Software QA Engineer and Tester ensures software products meet quality standards and functional requirements by designing, executing, and maintaining test plans and procedures. This position supports compliance with internal processes and external regulations while participating in all testing phases of Agile DevSecOps environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute software test plans to identify bugs and verify functionality aligns with requirements. Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate test activities within Agile sprints. Support automated and manual testing within cloud-based systems and large-scale applications. Validate that development workflows conform to organizational QA policies, security standards, and software lifecycle requirements. Assist in debugging and troubleshooting defects identified during test cycles. Maintain documentation such as testing scripts, quality reports, and audit records. Participate in QA audits, conduct data analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices. Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure complete test coverage and issue resolution. This position is pending contract award. Job Requirements Minimum Education/Qualifications –

Journeyman Level:
Education:

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or at minimum an IT Certification. (Two years of experience may substitute for one year of education.)

Experience:

Minimum one (1) year in an Agile DevSecOps development/testing environment. Minimum one (1) year of experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent. Minimum one (1) year experience developing testing scripts and automation frameworks in cloud-based systems. Strong oral and written communication and documentation skills.

Clearance:
