Automation and Controls Specialist
An exciting opportunity to apply automation and controls expertise across HVAC and other building systems in both operational and commissioning environments
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, build, test, and commission building control systems, including programming, sequences, and graphical interfaces
Contribute to controls engineering design reviews, identifying operability issues
Use Niagara tools (BQL, service suite) for efficient development
Troubleshoot hardware via CLI and perform in-depth diagnostics
Provide service, maintenance, and emergency response for BAS systems
Prepare documentation and status reports
Maintain 200+ contract hours annually
Participate in role-specific training and performance evaluations
Maintain accurate schedules, communications, and deliverables
REQUIRED SKILLS
2+ years of experience with at least two BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara, JCI, Honeywell, etc.)
1+ year hands-on BAS system development and commissioning
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and electrical components
Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions
Comfortable in active job site and warehouse environments
PREFERRED SKILLS
Tridium Niagara 4 Certification
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Distech GFX Certification
