Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in both automation and manual testing
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing robust test frameworks while also ensuring comprehensive manual test coverage. You will bridge the gap between development and QA, implementing both automated and manual testing strategies to deliver high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for Web, API, and Mobile applications
Write clean, efficient, and reusable automation scripts using Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
Implement end-to-end, integration, and regression test suites
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Conduct thorough manual testing for new features and complex user scenarios
Develop and execute detailed test cases and test plans
Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability issues
Validate UI/UX functionality, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
Document and track defects with clear reproduction steps and severity assessment
Identify and implement tools and technologies to improve test coverage (Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, Appium)
Develop test strategies balancing automation and manual testing needs
Conduct test case reviews to ensure comprehensive coverage
Mentor QA engineers on manual testing techniques and automation best practices
Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and defect triage
Advocate for quality standards throughout the SDLC
Analyze test results and provide quality metrics and reports
Required Skills & Experience
13+ years in software testing with expertise in both automation and manual testing
Strong programming skills for automation (
Java/Python/C#/JavaScript
)
Experience with:
Test frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit
API testing: Postman, RestAssured, Swagger

CI/CD:

Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
Manual testing techniques: exploratory, regression, smoke testing
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
Experience with performance/load testing (JMeter, Gatling)
Knowledge of security testing concepts
ISTQB or similar testing certification
Experience with accessibility testing (WCAG standards)
