Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Position Available In New York, New York

Duties:

• Review product specifications and technical design documents and provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, well-structured and well-articulated test plans and test cases.
• Write test plans to clearly include all steps of the test strategy including scope, overview, test approach, test environment details, testing tools, risk and impact analysis.
• Develop and execute software test plans in order to identify defects and defect causes.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities for a test team.
• Review test scenarios and test cases of other team members for functional, regression, security and performance aspects.
• Design and execute data integrity tests.
• Check database tables for all possible inputs of valid data, blank or null data based on the schema design.
• Write automated test scripts utilizing third party software.
• Facilitate test plan reviews with other product teams to identify cross functional impacts.
• Ensure the full application of all relevant quality assurance protocols, processes and procedures.
• Investigate and research production support cases escalated by support teams.
• Create and maintain feature test environments in AWS using Launchpad.
• Provide support during production deployment, release certification and post production support for major and minor releases.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with solution consulting and professional services teams.

Requirements:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System or related field and four (4) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:

• Demonstrable experience designing, developing and executing automation test scripts in Krypton framework using Java, Javascript, Selenium, and Playwright tools.
• Experience writing test plans and test results reports, and documenting test cases.
• Experience utilizing QA methodologies and concepts, creating complex and varied test cases for new enhancements and regression testing.
• Experience with QA testing in an application development/software setting using Jira, Apache, JMeter and Splunk.
• Demonstrable proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), requirement analysis, documentation, strategy planning, bug reporting, document test results, cross browser/UI testing, data migration and production support.
• Demonstrable experience with JIRA to decompose user stories into use cases.
• Experience testing Rest APIs using Postman, and validating data on database (MSSQL) using ad-hoc SQL.
