Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
SEACORP’s Training Systems Business Area is looking for a Systems Test Engineer. A Systems Test Engineer evaluates requirements, maps requirements to test procedures, executes test procedures and documents results. For this position, the Systems Test Engineer is expected to gain a thorough understanding of all baseline requirements, proposed new requirements, defect reports, and baseline impacts related to Code 25 Naval Training Systems including AN/BYG-1 and
AN/BLQ-10
training. The Systems Test Engineer will also be expected to train others on the operation of the training system.
Job Responsibilities Include:
System and Software Testing and Verification. Development of test plans to evaluate system performance. Defining test requirements, conducting requirements mapping, developing functional level test procedures, performing analysis, evaluating, and documenting tests results. Conducting integration testing, Algorithm Verification testing and Certification Testing using varying techniques depending on the type of test. Performing engineering evaluations related to test procedures and automated test tools. Preparing reports on findings and recommendations gathered from testing. Extracting and compiling a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc. Providing classroom and hands-on training to instructors utilizing the training system.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline OR Naval Training C School or Master Training Specialist + 8
Yrs Experience:
3 years of experience.
Ideal Skill and Experience:
Recent ST, FT or IT Navy designation experienced with submarine related systems and equipment highly desired.
Motivated, autonomous, with the ability take task ownership and independently determine the approach to develop solutions as needed.
Must have the ability to work under general supervision and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Must be able to receive/maintain Secret security clearance and be willing to travel (10%). Instructor Certified a plus. As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S.
