We specialize in providing a broad range of information technology and related services to both government and commercial customers. Ellumen is seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist III to become part of our diverse Agile team, providing support to the Navy Defense Health applications. This program offers engineering, integration, and lifecycle support for TMIP and JOMIS medical applications. You will be part of a cutting-edge Agile team that focuses on cybersecurity, testing, training, fleet support, release management, and reporting. Our mission is the sustainment and modernization of clinical information systems to ensure secure data flow and privacy protection within integrated health IT systems, including client-server and custom web applications.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards Review of program documentation to assure government standards/requirements are adhered to, and for progress in accordance with schedules. Coordinate with the Project Manager and/or Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that problems are solved to the user’s satisfaction. Make recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations. Prepare milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives. Assist leadership in setting up QA or CM activities throughout lifecycle of projects. Conduct audits and reviews/analyze data and documentation. Develop and implement procedures and test plans for assuring quality. Provides configuration management planning. Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product and related product documents. Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization. Develop and define major and minor characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters and determines requisite quality control resources for an actual task order. Establish and maintain a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assist in the evaluation. Conduct and/or participate in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle. Analyze and define existing business processes and interdependencies as well as test output, identifying discrepancies and clearly documents defects.

Qualifications:

5 years professional experience solving technical problems. Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance. Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts. Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards. Experience with testing equipment, systems, networks, communications infrastructure/configuration, or applications to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely. Ability to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens. US Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain Secret or Top-Secret clearance (Active clearance preferred). Three (3) years of experience with software development and testing to include deployment and validation of the developed software solution OR experience with a specific software application(s) required of the task order and experience how the required software application interacts in concert with other or new software applications.
