Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle. This position requires an Active DoD Secret Clearance This position requires United States Citizenship !

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases. Perform both manual and automated testing on various software applications. Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected. Participate in code reviews and provide QA-related feedback. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools. Analyze test results to identify trends or recurring issues. Provide regular updates on testing progress and quality metrics. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall). Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, WebDriver, Appium, JUnit, TestNG). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion, Mercurial). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of performance, security, usability, accessibility, and compliance standards. Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, CQE, PMP) are a plus. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and best practices is a plus.
