Sr. Analyst, Actuarial to Develop and apply mathematical and statistical methods and cutting-edge technologies to analyze products, programs, policies and processes to inform risk assessment and business strategy.

Duties include:

leverage various data sources and industry-leading analytics tools to translate functional business information, support risk management, predict new provider offerings, and enhance consumer experience; deliver key analytics insights using mathematical and statistical analysis, data science, and predictive modeling techniques; derive meaning from data and deploy robust risk management and compliance solutions through development, validation, and delivery of algorithms, statistical models, and reporting tools; develop, validate, and execute algorithms and statistical predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns, and recommend solutions; evaluate analytical approaches and modeling techniques to determine the limitations and reliability in predicting scenarios and potential future outcomes; explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms; analyze structured and unstructured data utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses to solve business problems; collaborate with business partners to understand problems and develop predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports, and performance metrics to support goals; develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data to generate insights and address reporting needs; present statistical and non-statistical results using data visualization techniques to effectively communicate results and support business decision making; report results of statistical analyses and document projects, business objectives, data gathering and processing, detailed results, and analytical metrics; evaluate the data needs for assigned projects and ensure the integrity of the data; and evaluate existing data analytics sources, methods, and practices to recommend improvements. Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field and two (2) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following: Python; Oracle; SQL; MySQL; PowerBI; Machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling; Healthcare data management processes and techniques, including data standards, interoperability, and proper data privacy; Supporting large data, analytics, and technology modernization initiatives; and MS Excel, including writing advanced Excel formulas and using conditional, vlookups/hlookups, sorting and filtering, array formulas, and VBA macros, pivot reporting, and conditional formatting.
