Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, responsible for the inferential and descriptive statistical functions in the design, analysis, and presentation of complex, non-routine research and statistical studies. Serves as a statistician on staff in the planning and design of complex research projects. Assists in the design and maintenance of office data warehouse to ensure all data collection activities and processes meet external and internal reporting needs. Assists with the maintenance and updates of institutional dashboard projects while providing appropriate administration; works with Research and Planning Administrator to meet dashboard needs of the college. This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A Master’s degree in statistics, educational research, mathematics, physics, computer science, business, economics, data analytics, political science or a related discipline or a Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional work experience as a planner, researcher, or statistician.
Preferred Qualifications
A master’s degree in statistics, physics, management, or a related field is desired as well as experience involving the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantified data in higher education. Technical report writing experience; computer proficiency, spreadsheet, database software (SQL); experience with statistical software; experience with dashboard creation; and experience in planning and developing complex research projects are preferred.
