• Wealthand Asset Management (WAM) Engineering is an organization withinSchwab Technology Services aligned to support the technology needsof Schwab Asset Management (SAM), Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS),the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR), and Third-PartyPlatform teams.
• WAM Engineering Investments, an organizationwithin WAM Engineering, is dedicated to providing support to SAM’sfront office team.
• -This newly created role will support thefuture growth of the SAM business.

As a Senior Manager, BusinessSystems Analysis Lead, you will partner with business stakeholdersand development teams to identify gaps in business requirements andprovide technical expertise for new and current systems. You willdeliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives in aflexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.

• Youwill play a critical role in supporting key stakeholders across theSAM organization, which is focused on Schwab’s proprietary ETF,Mutual Fund, and SMA products.

Supported business functions spanSAM’s equity portfolio management and equity trading teams. Youwill be working with a team of talented and highly motivatedtechnologists that strive to make technology a strategicdifferentiator for Schwab’s SAM business and their clients.

• RequiredQualifications A university degree in a technical program, such as ComputerScience, Engineering, or Information Systems.

Advanced degreesand/or other professional certifications are a plus Working experience with Schwab processes and systems Hands-on industry experience gained through a complex financialservices business analyst role Experience in financial industry-specific technologies, such asFIX messaging, market data APIs, and investment management systems(such as Aladdin, Charles River, Vestmark, etc) Strong written and verbal communication skills, with theability to explain complex technical processes to businessstakeholders and to create actionable user stories for the softwaredevelopers Documented experience writing SQL queries and understanding ofcomplex data structures of financial data (security master,etc) Ability to test new code and provide constructive feedback tothe development team Experience supporting portfolio managers and/or traders acrossthird party and custom applications and being able to troubleshootcomplex issues encountered Recent experience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) teams, asboth a practitioner and an adherent, using Jira/Confluence-Preferred Qualifications Strong understanding of SDLC and DevOps Strong customer focus with a sense of ownership anddetermination to drive solutions in a collaborativeenvironment Ability to work independently and also collaborate with alltypes of stakeholders, both technical and business, peers, andleaders Ability work in a fast-paced environment and contribute tomultiple projects simultaneously Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn newtechnologies
