Limited Term Length Job Summary Auburn University’s department of Business Admin Technology is seeking candidates for their Applications System Analyst position! This role will assist with the formulation and definition of system scope and objectives based on client needs. Additionally, this role will implement new or modified procedures to solve problems considering resource capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. This position is also responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Essential Functions Reviews, modifies, and writes program code for the implementation of business requirements.
Implements the technical tasks for the application of and compliance with technical standards such as code reviews, unit testing, and security reviews.
Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written in order to ensure compliance with business and technical requirements.
Implements the program design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and support of application software.
May participate in the evaluation of software products and programming languages to determine their applicability to a specific system or project.
May have quality assurance review responsibility to ensure that programs, applications, and systems meet business and technical requirements.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Associate App Systems Analyst Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of experience OR
Associate’s degree + 5 years of experience OR
High School diploma + 9 years of experience
Applications System Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of experience OR
Associate’s degree + 7 years of experience OR
High School diploma + 11 years of experience
Scope of Experience:
Relevant IT experience to include systems analysis/programming in a business or university setting.
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications Minimum Skills and Abilities Knowledge of advanced trouble shooting, intermediate client relations skills, persuasive communication, formulating and contributing ideas, and quality assurance methodologies.
Advanced understanding of the business environment of a large university system, including an in-depth understanding of the University systems, its policies, and its operating procedures.
Current knowledge of relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment and/or systems.
Must possess project management skills and the ability to work within a matrixed environment if necessary.
Ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Minimum Technology Skills Minimum License and Certifications Desired Qualifications Desired Qualifications Degree in IT or related field preferred.
Experience with Javascript, SQL, PHP, Microsoft Power Apps or similar technologies.
