Negotiable IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Airworthiness Analyst to provide airworthiness technical support and perform system engineering duties for a Redstone Arsenal customer. The work performed will focus on aircraft systems and components utilized across multiple aircraft types. Candidates should be highly motivated, a self-starter, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance. Position is located in Huntsville, AL with full time in‑person work requirements.
Education and General Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of direct experience or High School and 13 years of direct experience is required. A strong work ethic, the ability to work effectively with others and a strong desire to acquire new skills and knowledge are paramount in this position. Candidates should also have the following: Technical background / maintenance experience with Army rotary-wing aircraft (H-60, H-47, H-64). Knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems to include Avionics/Communication, Navigation, Flight Instrumentation, Aircraft Survivability Equipment, MIL-STD-1553 databus, aircraft Operational Flight Program (OFP) / Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS), Electrical, and Hydraulic (Maintenance Test Pilot experience preferred but not required). Understanding and experience with Army Aviation airworthiness qualification to include development of airworthiness requirements, testing, and verifying compliance in accordance with AR 70-62, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, and DO-178, and
MIL-STD-882.
Understanding and experience with the Systems Engineering process (Requirements development, decomposition, and verification) for both hardware and software. Understanding and experience with aircraft integration involving new components and systems. Good proficiency with Microsoft Office products and familiar with technical writing.
Job Duties:
Provide technical support for systems engineering and airworthiness qualification processes to include requirements development, item specifications, configuration management, data management, risk management, etc.
Support major program technical reviews:
Systems Requirements Reviews (SRRs), Preliminary Design Review (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), etc. Become subject matter expert within the office on assigned systems; Provide insights on airworthiness qualification to supported system representatives. Upload airworthiness qualification documents in digital database; Monitor progress of document reviews Draft written responses that capture comments and issues from review; Initiate signature review of responses; Forward signed responses to system representatives; Track progress of overall airworthiness qualification effort and provide status as necessary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership.
