Job Summary:
In this role you will get to provide technical support to the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) International Engineering Support Program (IESP) Lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support MDA with digital twin development oversight for the THAAD Software Modularity modernization effort. Assist IESP Lead with managing the technical aspects of all assigned oversight efforts. Collaborate and coordinate on technical efforts with multiple internal and external agencies and stakeholders. Identify deficiencies and shortcomings in planned or ongoing design reviews and provide options for fixing them. Identify, document, and communicate potential solutions/mitigations for technical deficiencies. Actively participate in regular and ad hoc design meetings and technical exchanges.
Minimum Requirements:
MA/MS degree and 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project OR a BA/BS and 20+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project Active Secret Security Clearance Demonstrated proficiency in SysML Demonstrated proficiency with MBSE tools knowledge (e.g., CAMEO, Rhapsody, System Architect, etc.) Demonstrated proficiency with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) Digital Engineering concepts and tools such as enterprise architectures, authoritative data sources and data mesh, cross-organizational data-driven workflows, etc. Demonstrated Software Engineering design and architecture knowledge to include object-oriented principles, layered architectures, and containerization Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office tool suite Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction/instruction in a fast-paced office environment alongside highly skilled coworkers
Preferred Skills:
Applying MBSE concepts to complex weapon system architectures Knowledge of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) weapon system Background in Missile defense systems – especially interceptors, engagement operations, fire control, and force operations Experience with Missile Defense Agency Exposure to models and simulation (M&S) with complex weapon system applications Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance Demonstrated ability to work alongside Government, Prime Contractor, and Subcontractor coworkers in a collaborative badgeless environment Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate across organizational boundaries
Required Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM, computer science, or computer engineering, etc.) is required. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
Eligibility:
Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Top Secret Clearance. An Active Top Secret Clearance is highly desired. About
