Role Overview Paysafe isseeking a Lead Business Analyst – Payments Data to play a criticalrole in managing and optimizing data systems related to ProcessorSettlement and financial data. This position will serve as a bridgebetween business and technical teams, ensuring data integrity,streamlining processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with paymentsdata, SQL-based analytics, business process improvements, andextensive documentation responsibilities. Key Responsibilities DataSystems Leadership Be the expert in payment data systems, ensuringin-depth understanding of data flows, sources, destinations, andsystem dependencies. Drive innovation in data systems, proactivelyidentifying opportunities to improve performance, scalability, andreliability. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a key liaisonbetween business and technical teams (including DevOps, Risk, IT,Marketing), translating business requirements into technicalsolutions. Guide projects through the full software developmentlifecycle (SDLC) to ensure timely delivery and alignment withbusiness goals. Requirements & Pipeline Design Define evolvingbusiness needs within a fast-paced payments environment. Createdetailed specifications and design robust data pipelines to supportreal-time analytics, reporting, and operational requirements. Cloud& API Integration Lead cloud-based data migration initiatives (AWS,Azure, GCP) and develop secure, scalable APIs for system-to-systemcommunication. Ensure data flows between systems are efficient,reliable, and fully auditable. System Documentation & GovernanceOwn the documentation of operational procedures, user guides, andtechnical references for payment data systems. Implement governancebest practices to maintain system integrity and ensure consistent,high-quality documentation for all stakeholders. Issue Management &Continuous Improvement Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines,proactively resolving issues in a timely manner. Implementcontinuous improvement strategies to increase performance,reliability, and scalability of data systems. StakeholderManagement Engage regularly with key departments (IT, Security,Data Governance, Risk, etc.) to discuss system performance,upcoming developments, and project alignment with companyobjectives. Provide first-tier support for internal teams byhandling queries related to payments data and troubleshootingdiscrepancies. Data Security & Compliance Ensure all data systemscomply with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS,GDPR), with a focus on protecting sensitive financial information.

Establish and uphold protocols for data encryption, accesscontrols, and secure handling of financial data. Data Management &Analysis Gain proficiency in Processor Settlement platformhierarchies and data structures. Document and track all ProcessorSettlement files, ensuring accurate data movement across internaland external systems. Identify data quality issues, perform rootcause analysis, and work with cross-functional teams to remediatethem. Use SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze raw datasources for financial accuracy. Process Optimization & ComplianceEstablish file request approval processes to avoid redundancy,manage costs, and educate teams on appropriate data file usage.

Ensure data security protocols (including encryption and accesscontrols) for sensitive financial data, maintaining regulatorycompliance. Documentation & Knowledge Management Own and maintaincomprehensive documentation for all data processes, systemintegrations, and business workflows. Manage Business RequirementsDocuments (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and aknowledge base (KB) for self-service issue resolution. Train andonboard new users on data systems, reporting tools, and bestpractices to foster a knowledge-sharing environment. StakeholderCollaboration & Business Support Serve as the main point of contactbetween client, business and technical teams, ensuring smoothcommunication of requirements between Internal and Externalstakeholders Provide business support for payment data queries,discrepancies, and project-related inquiries. Skills & Experience 8years of experience in business systems analysis, including:

Requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder managementBusiness process modeling and workflow design User acceptancetesting, systems integration, and quality assurance Managingcomplex data-driven projects with a focus on analytics andreporting 5 years of experience working on data-centric projects,such as: Cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ETL processes APIintegrations, business intelligence systems, and real-time datapipelines Data warehousing, data lakes, and operational data storesLeading initiatives related to data quality, cleansing, andgovernance Proven expertise in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) witha deep understanding of complex queries, data analysis, andperformance optimization. Strong documentation management skills,including process documentation, system documentation, usermanuals, and business requirements documentation. Hands-onexperience in data validation, business process modeling, andsystem analysis. Excellent communication and stakeholder managementskills, with the ability to translate business needs into technicalspecifications and drive project success. Preferred experience withETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica) and data warehousingsolutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks). Knowledge ofpayment processing workflows, including ACH, settlements,chargebacks, fraud detection (a plus). Familiarity with BI tools(Tableau, Power BI) for data visualization and reporting.
