Summary Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst I The Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst I are responsible for application design, development, implementation, and support of the suite of Soarian Financials products and related 3rd party applications. Primary business areas supported are Revenue Cycle Operations.
Ideal Candidate will have:
Functional experience with Cerner Soarian Financials, Soarian Document Management, Cerner Physician Revenue Management, ePremise, WayStar or other Healthcare Financial Services systems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Project, Visio, and website navigation.
Preferred
- understanding of HL7 interfaces methodologies. Preferred
- knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) formats. Preferred
- experience with SQL, stored procedures, views, and database triggers on Oracle and SQL Server platforms. Preferred
- experience with JavaScript or other scripting languages.
Preferred - experience in a healthcare IT environment.
Preferred - experience with performance improvement and process management.
Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, tests, and implements custom or vendor supplied systems software.
Performs system assessments, process analysis, and requirements definition.
Documents, assists with, and/or performs software installations, configurations, and customizations.
Maintains production systems to ensure reliable performance, appropriate change management and security. Resolves issues and performs root cause analysis.
Assists in documenting systems policies, procedures, and training materials.
Credentials and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or healthcare/business related discipline (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Medical Informatics) required.
A minimum of two (2) years information system development, implementation, and system support for one or more of the following revenue cycle functions required: Patient Accounting, Patient Access, Charge Capture or Patient Financial Services at both the functional and technical layers.
- OR•Associate’s degree with an additional two (2) years of experience additional relevant healthcare revenue cycle operations and technical support related experience plus the two (2) years (for a total of 4 years) experience in information system development, implementation, and system support roles, hospital business operations, information systems may be considered “in lieu” of a Bachelor’s degree.
- OR•High School diploma with an additional four (4) years of experience additional relevant healthcare revenue cycle operations and technical support related experience plus the two (2) years (for a total of 6 years) experience in information system development, implementation, and system support roles, hospital business operations, information systems may be considered “in lieu” of a Bachelor’s degree.
