Job Description

Business Systems Analyst, Slate 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Tallahassee, FL Department Office of Admissions Responsibilities The Office of Admissions is a unit within the Division of Enrollment Management, which is comprised of four distinct units: Office of Admissions, Office of the University Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, and Technology Operations. Enrollment Management’s integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the student’s development and progression in their academic experience – from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families and to campus partners across the University. Responsible for increasing prospective and admitted student engagement and recruiting efficiency by enabling data-driven decision making and the design and execution of Events and Recruitment functions in the Admissions CRM, Slate. Works collaboratively with the Recruiting/Events and Communications verticals within Admissions to fulfill strategic and operational requirements related to event management and recruitment using Slate. Performs design and development tasks that require expert knowledge of Admissions business processes, University offerings, and Slate data structures and functionality. Builds and maintains highly complex reports to support data-driven decision making. Gains and maintains expert knowledge of Slate functionality and industry best practices. Researches, prototypes, and implements new product features. Collaborates with peers at other Slate institutions to share design ideas aimed at increasing effectiveness and productivity. Evaluates requests for enhancements and evaluates effort and potential gain. Responsible for supporting operations for the University’s undergraduate Slate implementation. Create and maintain documentation for functional requirements, system design, and information related to the ongoing support and maintenance of the undergraduate Slate instance. Provides direct support to internal and external Slate users. Contributes Slate content to the Admissions knowledge base. Provides training to new Slate users. Participates in special events hosted by the Office of Admissions. Assists other sections during peak times in support of the goals of Enrollment Management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of experience. (

a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.) Preferred Qualifications Candidates should possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously. Candidates should have experience with data management as well as using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software. Candidates should have demonstrable technical experience to include handling configuration changes, modifications, enhancements, and/or workarounds related to an application. Applicants should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Preferred applicants should have a strong understanding of University admissions and recruitment processes and previous work experience with admissions CRMs (Slate). Candidates with a strong sense of initiative and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently are preferred.
