You’ll lead technical development efforts and ensure the solution meets Florida Department requirements with a focus on security, functionality, and scalability. Responsibilities Lead technical design and development using J2EE/Java, JBoss 7.x, MS SQL Server 2019, Angular, and related technologies. Participate in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to transform business requirements into detailed designs and functional code. Collaborate closely with FDLE business and technical teams, including PMs, BAs, and other System Analysts. Ensure strict adherence to CJIS security standards, testing methodologies, and documentation best practices. ⸻ Key Deliverables Comprehensive technical design documentation and component implementation guides. System security compliance inputs and structured test plans. Support for testing cycles, deployment strategies, and maintenance planning. Facilitation of knowledge transfer to FDLE’s internal support teams. ⸻ Required Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in enterprise-level IT system design, development, and implementation.

Strong hands-on expertise in:

Java (J2EE, JSP, EJB) JBoss Application Server Angular, HTML/XML, JavaScript MS SQL Server 2019, PL/SQL Web Services and JSF frameworks Demonstrated ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience contributing to multi-vendor and cross-functional project teams. ⸻ Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Prior experience in public sector, law enforcement, or public safety IT projects.
