  • MAJOR FUNCTIONProvides technical expertise in analysis, deployment of OS Updates and software, Imaging, Security Triage, Documentation, and ongoing support for Polk County BoCC endpoint devices.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES
Project Management:

Responsible for managing projects from analysis through implementation for the Polk County BoCC. Completes accurate development and project duration estimates. Recommends staff assignments and schedules as well as tracking project progress to ensure timely completion.

Customer Knowledge:

Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the client’s business. Works with a diverse group of users from various departments / divisions and agencies when developing and implementing custom solutions. Works with clients to identify development requirements. Provides ongoing assistance to users with problems or questions.

Training:

Assists in the training of junior staff members. Provide advanced technical guidance and support to other staff members to enhance their expertise and problem-solving abilities.

Systems Analysis and Design:

Responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s Microsoft Intune platform, focusing on efficient software deployment, endpoint configuration, and compliance monitoring. This role ensures that all devices are secure, properly configured, and meet organizational and regulatory standards.

Incident response: Ability to investigate, document, and resolve security incidents, including providing detailed post-incident reports. Familiarity with incident response playbooks and escalation procedures.

Written and Oral Communications:

Conducts meetings with client staff. Works with clients to explain application usage and results. Provides clear and comprehensible written and oral reports to Information Technology management and clients.

Other:

Travel for education, conference and site visits is required. Attend education courses as required. Performs related duties as required.

  • : Strong familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) and enterprise mobility management (EMM) frameworks

  • : Comprehensive understanding of device security principles, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices. Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and emerging risks
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting
  • : Adept at diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective solutions. Ability to work well under pressure during critical incidents

  • : Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities for efficient collaboration across teams and engagement with clients

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of an accredited four (4) year college with major course work in Information Systems including a minimum of two (2) programming courses.

Must have a strong working knowledge of ITSM, Intune, Active directory, Group Policy, Entra ID, and remote support software.

Must be CompTIA A+ and MD-102 certified.

Must have a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicle and be able to secure a valid Florida’s driver’s license at the time of employment within this classification.
