Core Banking Systems Manager The Core Banking SystemsManager holds full ownership of the Credit Union’s Core Processingplatform and all supporting systems necessary to power essentialbanking functions—from back-office ACH and Accounting tofront-office Account Opening and Loan Origination. This rolecombines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership toensure accuracy, resilience, and high availability of all criticalsystems. The manager will also lead a high-performing team ofSystems Analysts, providing direction, mentorship, and support forboth daily operations and long-term growth. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Oversight Oversee the configuration,maintenance, and optimization of the Credit Union’s core bankingapplications, including Symitar, OpCon, Synapsys, Synergy, ImageCenter, SymConnect, and ARCU. Supervise and actively participate inDisaster Recovery planning, testing, and execution to ensureuninterrupted service and robust business continuity. Manage theimplementation of software releases and updates for Jack Henrysystems, including testing, deployment, and coordination withstakeholders. Provide expert-level support for SQL Serverenvironments related to data ingestion, extraction, optimization,and backup. Create accurate and timely system reports, ensuringdata integrity and reliability. As needed, perform hands-ontechnical work as a Core Systems Analyst to support high-prioritytasks or fill temporary bandwidth gaps. Team Leadership &Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of Systems Analysts,offering regular one-on-one support to align performance goals withprofessional development. Provide career mentorship and growthopportunities tailored to individual team members. Set clearexpectations and deadlines, ensuring all projects meet timelinesand objectives. Ensure thorough documentation of softwareconfigurations, issue resolutions, and systems architecture.

Operational & Strategic Execution Ensure the accuracy, uptime, andresiliency of all core and ancillary banking systems. Consistentlydeliver results under high-pressure conditions, with attention todetail and adherence to compliance standards. Support systemfailovers and execute strategic initiatives that align technologywith organizational goals. Deliver timely, high-quality outcomesacross multiple initiatives with competing priorities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal businessunits, external vendors, and cross-functional technical teams todeliver system enhancements and resolve issues. Serve as a liaisonbetween business goals and technical capabilities, fostering mutualunderstanding and shared success. Communicate effectively with bothtechnical and non-technical stakeholders to drive alignment andtransparency. Additional Duties Maintain flexibility to work in adynamic environment with changing priorities. Provide after-hoursand on-call support as needed for critical system updates or issueresolution. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements10 yearsof experience supporting or managing banking or financialapplications in a technical role. At least 3 years of experiencesupervising technical professionals. Expert-level knowledge of JackHenry core banking systems, including update and releasemanagement. Strong track record in leading complex,cross-functional projects from planning through execution. Provenability to manage SQL Server environments, including performancetuning and backup operations. Extensive experience executingfailovers and disaster recovery drills to safeguardmission-critical systems. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting,and problem-solving skills in high-stakes environments. Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative,team-oriented mindset. Excellentinterpersonal and communications skills with both technical andnon-technical staff Strong analytical skills Performs such otherduties as might be assigned Requirements Minimum 10 yearsexperience working with Banking or other finance related BusinessApplications in an Advanced Support, Analyst or Administratorcapacity Minimum 3 year experience supervising others in technicalroles. Expert in managing and implementing updates and releases forJack Henry core banking systems, ensuring smooth transitionsthrough meticulous planning, rigorous testing, and effectivecoordination with cross-functional teams. Proven expertise inexecuting system failovers and disaster recovery drills, minimizingrisk of outages and protecting data integrity essential forcontinuous banking operations. Skilled in managing SQL DatabaseServers, with a focus on data ingestion, extraction, queryoptimization, and performing backups, which supports robust dataavailability and system efficiency. Demonstrated success in leadingcomplex, cross-functional projects within the core banking domain,from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with strategicgoals and delivering results on time and within budget. Stronganalytical and troubleshooting abilities with a strategic approachto resolving critical system issues, ensuring uninterrupted corebanking services in high-stakes scenarios. Excellent communicationskills with the ability to effectively collaborate with bothtechnical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering clearunderstanding and cohesive teamwork across departments. Ability towork in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. Ability towork On Call or provide After-Hours support in order to install,upgrade, or resolve issues with critical Software and/or Systems.
