The Senior Systems Analyst is a highly technical and strategicrole responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and securing criticalcore applications across the organization. This position leveragesdeep systems expertise—particularly with PowerOn programming andcomplex systems architecture—to drive efficiency, ensure businesscontinuity, and support enterprise-wide initiatives. The role alsoserves as a mentor and leader within the Core team, fosteringknowledge-sharing, problem-solving, and long-term systems planning.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide expert oversight ofthe Core Credit Union system (Symitar) and other criticalapplications such as OpCon, Synapsys, Synergy, Image Center, andARCU. Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of advancedsoftware solutions based on deep technical knowledge. Develop andmaintain system architecture documentation, configuration details,and troubleshooting guidelines aligned with regulatory standards.

Proactively troubleshoot and resolve Tier 3-level issues acrosssoftware, hardware, and network components; escalate and coordinatewith vendors or IT staff as needed. Perform regular systemperformance analysis to identify, plan, and implement improvementsthat enhance security, scalability, and efficiency. Drive andmanage major system upgrades, patches, and enhancements withminimal disruption to business operations. Collaborate withstakeholders to define requirements for system integrations, userneeds, and architectural designs. Identify and implement solutionsto improve data quality, ingestion/extraction processes, andoverall data accessibility across SQL and other databases. Executesystem failovers and disaster recovery procedures to minimize riskand downtime. Manage and implement Jack Henry system updates,releases, and customizations using PowerOn programming. Leadership& Project ManagementAssemble and lead project teams for high-impactsystem implementations, enhancements, and problem resolutioninitiatives. Provide mentorship to junior team members, enhancingtheir technical proficiency and systems understanding. Coordinatewith internal departments, vendors, and external partners to ensuretimelines, goals, and communication standards are met throughoutall phases of projects. Serve as a knowledge resource for trainingsessions and promote a culture of collaboration and continuouslearning. Maintain consistent project documentation and statusreporting for all initiatives. Remain available for on-callresponsibilities to support urgent system changes or incidents.

Other ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with business units, vendors, andtechnical staff to achieve strategic business outcomes. Performadditional duties as assigned. RequirementsMinimum of 10 years ofsystems support, administration, or management in a banking orcredit union environment. Proficient in PowerOn programming withstrong experience customizing Symitar for reporting and systemenhancements. Expertise in Jack Henry system releases, includingplanning, testing, and deployment. In-depth experience with SQLServer management including data ingestion, query optimization, andbackups. Strong project leadership skills and experience managingcomplex, cross-functional technical initiatives. Advancedtroubleshooting, analytical, and strategic problem-solvingabilities in high-pressure environments. Excellent communicationskills; able to collaborate across technical and non-technicalteams. Familiarity with financial industry regulations and a strongcommitment to compliance and audit readiness.
