SAP R/3 ERP

to

SAP S/4HANA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the current SAP R/3 environment, coordinating technical and functional requirements, and ensuring a seamless transition to the S/4HANA platform. This role is critical to ensuring business continuity, data integrity, and process optimization throughout the upgrade. Responsibilities Lead or support the planning, design, and execution of the SAP R/3 to S/4HANA upgrade project Analyze the current SAP R/3 landscape, identify gaps, and define transformation strategies Collaborate with business process owners, SAP functional consultants, and developers to align migration efforts with business needs Coordinate and perform system assessments, data migrations, sandbox and test conversions Participate in Fit/Gap analysis, system configuration, and testing activities Develop and document technical specifications and integration strategies Support custom code remediation, simplification item analysis, and Fiori app activation Ensure data consistency, integrity, and accuracy throughout the migration process Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during migration and testing Provide post-go-live support and optimization for the S/4HANA environment Maintain documentation of project progress, decisions, and key system changes. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in SAP project management Proven experience delivering large-scale SAP projects, migrations, or greenfield/brownfield implementations. Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP) and their integration Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and tools (SUM, DMO, ATC, etc.) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders SAP certification(s) in S/4HANA preferred Work Environment Office-based work environment with occasional travel required to IMS Gear sister locations (domestic and international). Fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere with a strong emphasis on collaboration and cross-functional coordination. Frequent interaction with executive leadership, technical teams, and external vendors or consulting partners. Exposure to high-stakes decision-making and enterprise-level project execution. Work involves extended use of computers, project management tools, and virtual collaboration platforms. May occasionally require after-hours availability to support project milestones, global deployments, or urgent issues across time zones.
