Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a skilled and analytical Mid-Level Computer Systems Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in analyzing and developing computer software with a wide range of capabilities, including engineering, business, and records management functions. This role involves developing plans for automated information systems, analyzing user interfaces, and coordinating closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of system specifications.
This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Analyze and develop computer software with a wide range of capabilities, including engineering, business, and records management functions.
Develop plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion.
Analyze user interfaces and maintain hardware and software performance tuning.
Analyze workload and computer usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, and analyze downtimes.
Analyze proposed system modifications, upgrades, and new Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products.
Analyze problems and the information to be processed, defining the problem and developing system requirements.
Create use cases, flow charts, and program specifications from which developers can implement programs and tests.
Coordinate closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications.
Develop system alternative solutions in conjunction with functional users.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in computer systems analysis and software development.
Strong analytical skills and experience in developing system requirements and specifications.
Proficiency in analyzing user interfaces and maintaining hardware and software performance.
Experience with workload analysis, computer usage, and system interfaces.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Experience with COTS products and system upgrades.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
Familiarity with programming languages and tools.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $61,900.00
