Position Overview:

The Configuration Management Specialist oversees and regulates the change management process across hardware and software development, ensuring that only approved and validated changes are introduced into product baselines. This position ensures effective traceability and control over all system elements and documentation in accordance with configuration management policies and Agile DevSecOps methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and implement configuration management (CM) processes to support identification, control, status accounting, and auditing of software and hardware configurations. Manage change control and ensure updates are properly reviewed, approved, and documented before integration. Support Agile software development workflows and apply CM principles throughout product lifecycle stages. Administer version control and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence. Facilitate the Design Review Board (DRB) by preparing agendas, coordinating reviews, and analyzing proposed design changes. Support program audits and enforce compliance with applicable standards and baseline control processes. Collaborate with development teams to execute software builds and ensure traceability between requirements, configurations, and releases. Develop and maintain SOPs, guidelines, and configuration policies. This position is pending contract award. Minimum Education/Qualifications –

Senior Level:
Education:

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or at minimum an IT Certification. (Five years of experience may substitute for two years of education.)

Experience:

Minimum five (5) years of experience using version control and/or defect control tools in a configuration management or related field. Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting Agile DevSecOps environments. Minimum two (2) years of experience using Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent. Strong oral and written communication skills, including facilitation of review boards and meetings.

Clearance:

Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 1 background investigation.
