Optimization Analyst 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 2709 Water Ridge Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28217 Overview Formulates and defines system scope and objectives for Central Billing Office (CBO) technology initiatives and oversees successful management and operation of software applications utilized to support the day to day operations of the CPN CBO. Develops and implements processes that take full advantage of computer automation. Essential Functions Assists IS with design, coding, testing, debugging and documenting programs. Leads projects in all aspects of information systems lifecycle (info planning, business requirements definition, implementation, productions support). Coordinates the installation, implementation and maintenance of patient accounting software (SSI applications, IDX, TES, Ingenix, Staffware, PCS, HBOC Star, EIS, National Access, etc.). Assists leadership in completing projects, conversions, testing, report writing and report analysis. Receives and analyzes system problem issues from payer groups. Ensures follow up on problem correction or changes from IS or vendor support. Redefines business processes to fit with chosen packaged systems. Provides input into training programs for registration and patient accounting employees especially those related to changes/additions to computer systems, regulatory changes, etc. Resolves issues regarding projects being worked on and presents recommendations for those issues. Ensures successful completion of assigned projects on schedule. Implements solutions, understanding the ramifications for problems within IS and the CBO. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift objects up to 35 lbs. Work is subject to high-level visibility through verbal and written communications with senior hospital management, associated project deadlines, personnel evaluation, and counseling. Availability for on-call support and overtime regularly, due to project requirements. Education, Experience and Certifications High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field preferred. Candidates with equivalent work experience will be considered. Formal training in a variety of information systems technology is preferred: desktop applications (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, etc), databases (MS-Access, Oracle, Sybase, etc.), software development packages. 4 years work experience with the aforementioned information systems technology is preferred. Candidates with primarily an educational background should have information systems or business related internships or part time employment experiences. 2 years experience in the healthcare industry required.
